Recommended Resources for Autistics & ADHDers

I know it’s hard to find vetted resources when you’re suspecting neurodivergence, or maybe you’re newly diagnosed as autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD. It’s annoying how there are so many resources behind a paywall these days so you can’t always be sure something is worth the time and financial investment. So I made a list - a mixture of free and priced resources to make it easy for you. All of the following supported me in the early part of my diagnosis journey. I hope they help you too!

***For transparency: I’m only sharing these direct links because I liked the products. These are not affiliate links, so I don't make a dime. My only intention is to share my tried and true finds with you.***

Take care in slowing down as you digest information from the websites and books below. If you’re like me, you enjoy researching lots of data and then synthesizing it, but this can cause information overload and overwhelm in no time. I invite you to bookmark the resources you’re interested in checking out over the next few months. You could even compile a curriculum or syllabus for your own personal expansion. I also encourage you use your library card or the Libby app to check out these books for free!

We’re all different. I always say if it doesn’t apply, let it fly! I invite you to take what resonates with you and leave all the rest.

I hope these resources give you a head start on your journey of self-discovery. I can’t emphasize enough the value of seeing a therapist who shares a similar neurotype to you. AuDHDers tend to have an easier time embracing each other.
